The Community Outreach and Sensitization Program aims to improve the well-being of vulnerable communities by providing essential resources such as mosquito nets, cooking equipment, and seeds for sustainable food production. Alongside material aid, the program empowers individuals through health education, hygiene awareness, and nutrition training. It also offers income-generating activities and entrepreneurship skills to break the cycle of poverty and promote long-term self-sufficiency, ensuring lasting positive change in the communities served.

Our Economic Empowerment Program focuses on uplifting single mothers, widows, disabled women, and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) by providing vocational training, entrepreneurship support, and resources for economic independence. Participants gain skills in areas like baking, sewing, organic agriculture, and hairdressing. The program also offers emotional support, education on women’s rights, and opportunities for starting small businesses.

At Child Care Foundation, we believe education is essential for unlocking brighter futures. Our programs aim to provide underserved children with access to quality education, encouraging academic excellence and personal growth. With the help of dedicated teachers and mentors, we offer individualized attention, foster creativity, and cultivate a love for learning. From basic literacy to advanced skills, we equip children with the tools they need to succeed academically and personally, shaping them into future leaders and change-makers.

Child Care Foundation's healthcare outreach program now includes regular check-ups, vaccinations, and HIV/AIDS counselling for over 300 children in the local community. They collaborate with local hospitals, including Jinja Health Center IV and Walukuba Health Center II, to ensure access to quality medical care. The foundation also addresses the HIV epidemic, providing comprehensive support through medical care, education, and emotional services to children and families affected by the virus. Their holistic approach promotes health, education, and well-being within the community.

The Child Care Foundation (CCF) has launched an initiative aimed at eradicating menstrual health issues for young girls and mothers. This program focuses on providing sustainable livelihoods through the production of reusable menstrual products. In its first year, the initiative improved menstrual health outcomes for over 5,000 PWDs.

Our mission is to promote menstrual health independence and economic empowerment for PWDs.

Child Care Foundation serves as a sanctuary for vulnerable children, providing a safe, nurturing environment where young individuals can grow and thrive. The foundation's shelter offers not just a roof but a home filled with love, care, and support. Children receive essential services such as education, healthcare, and personal development, all aimed at empowering them to reach their full potential. The foundation believes that every child deserves a chance at a brighter future, offering a space where dreams are nurtured and possibilities are endless.

Solar Panel Installation

We have equipped our education center and home with solar panels, a sustainable initiative that significantly reduces our dependence on traditional energy sources and lowers our carbon footprint. This eco-friendly approach enables us to redirect funds previously spent on electricity towards enhancing our children's education and well-being. Beyond the financial benefits, this initiative fosters a culture of sustainability and resilience, teaching our children the value of environmental responsibility and adaptability. By embracing renewable energy, we are not only supporting their present needs but also securing a brighter, more sustainable future.

At Child Care Foundation, we are actively seeking volunteers to support our projects and programs. Whether you prefer to work in the field or assist online, your passion for helping orphans and vulnerable communities is invaluable. If you're interested in making a difference, please email us for more information on how to get involved. Your contribution can help us create lasting change for those in need.

We are proud to announce the successful construction of 22 boreholes in Jinja and neighbouring communities, which now provide clean water to over 100 households and 300 individuals. This project addresses acute water scarcity, reducing reliance on unsafe sources that previously led to waterborne diseases. The boreholes have improved community health, enhanced water accessibility, and reduced time spent collecting water, allowing children to focus on education and adults on productive activities. We thank our partners and donors for supporting a healthier, more sustainable future for Jinja district.
